eBay says Managed payments will not be activated until the 25th when they are legal to take money for the category and not before. I sign up for managed payments on the 13th as requested. If there is no response from eBay to this direct question I will take that to mean this is all correct. On the 25th it will be paid with Managed Payments. On the 24th it will be paid with PayPal.Ī lot I list on January 18th for 7 days I do the normal way. On the 27th it will be paid with Managed Payments.Ī lot I list on January 17th for 7 days I do the normal way.

No human may know this lot I list on January 20th for 7 days I do the normal way. I firmly believe this is a large computer situation and no one can actually predict what the system will do. Am I about to have a week or more without a way to post listings? I called Managed Payments directly and they are not sure but told me to only sign up when asked or this might be a longer time.

I have asked if I schedule sales up through the 24th the regular way will that work? They say I can schedule the regular way but once Managed Payments is activated my listings the old way will not be allowed to post anyway. I have called and asked if I register on the 13th and they activate me earlier than the 25th will I be able to still list until the 25th the regular way? They are not sure but sure I can't list coins until the 25th. On January 13th I will receive a message to move to Managed Payments and I am told I will be able to list coins on Managed Payments on the 25th of January. This feature will give you flexibility to manage refunds in addition to how you manage cancellation requests or send a partial refund through a return request today.Coins have not been allowed in Managed Payments so I have not changed over yet. You can do this directly from Seller Hub or our APIs. Starting in July 2019, you will also be able to issue a refund to a buyer for a percentage of the order amount of your choice, up to 100%. The updated order numbers will appear in the “order details” section of your View Order Details page, Seller Hub, reports, emails, APIs, post-transaction records, and other locations, over time, so you can efficiently track and manage your orders. We’ll attach the updated order numbers to each transaction on eBay, which will follow the transactions through their entire life cycles. Starting in summer 2019, we’ll introduce a more user-friendly order number format than the one we use in our current APIs. Easier order management with order numbers We expect to transition the majority of eBay sellers to the new payment experience by 2021. In today’s retail environment, shoppers expect to be able to use their preferred payment methods when they check out.

More ways to pay for buyers, a streamlined experience for sellers We’re starting small and, in the coming weeks, we’ll continue to test and scale PayPal to ensure a seamless and successful seller and buyer experience. We recently added Google Pay to managed payments, and we are now making PayPal and PayPal Credit available. We’ll continue to add new payment options to existing methods that already include credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, and Apple Pay. Managed payments is currently available on a limited, invitation-only basis and we will expand the experience to more sellers in the future. In 2018, we announced our commitment to simplifying the buying and selling experience on eBay with managed payments, which will enable you to manage your payments information and operations all in one place on eBay, and offer buyers more ways to pay when they purchase your items.
